Aviation Security Director

We are seeking a strong leader to provide leadership, support, and oversight of in-house screening operations.
You will develop and establish risk-based security standards, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and implement standardized processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Anticipate customer needs by understanding their business, areas of opportunity, and concern, and develop scalable strategic solutions.
- Develop weekly and quarterly business reviews to provide customers with a clear line of sight into the team's focus of attention, network trends, initiatives, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal customers to develop security solutions to address evolving operational processes with a focus on identifying solutions that facilitate business objectives.
- Oversight and support the development and presentation of SeMS data, metrics, and KPIs to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Manage information from various reporting tools to determine and manage risks.
- Liaise with local and federal regulatory agencies in support of customers and stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Regularly meet with 3P Security and Air Carrier Leadership to discuss projects, initiatives, trending data, and areas of opportunity.
- The candidate will hire and develop the right workforce strategy to meet long-term goals while supporting Amazon's culture of Diversity and Inclusivity.
- Participate in the onboarding and knowledge transfer of regulatory requirements with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert to support incidents, events, and regulatory infractions while providing guidance to Amazon Air Operations teams.
- Review security practices and procedures to ensure that they are in line with regulatory compliance.
- Support the investigation of regulatory violations and utilize the Security Management System to identify root cause, developing mitigating actions to reduce risk.
- Establish and maintain relationships with aviation and security stakeholders within your region, as well as local Federal Law Enforcement and Local Municipal Law Enforcement.
