Geriatric Infection Control Specialist

This role requires a dedicated and reliable individual to oversee infection control and quality assurance within our long-term care and rehab facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be flexible with shifts and hours, and prioritize the best interest of our residents at all times.
Main Responsibilities:- Monitor and track infections and antibiotic use, including antibiotic stewardship.
- Act as a liaison and representative of residents and staff for infections and medical needs.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- A valid Registered Nurse license is required.
- Experience working with elderly populations is preferred but not necessary.
- Previous experience in Infection Control is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills are essential due to extensive paperwork requirements.
- A self-starter with strong motivation and commitment to quality patient care is needed.
