About the Role

This is a critical care position that involves providing compassionate support to patients and their families in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintaining good personal hygiene for patients.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Prepare and serve light meals as needed.
  • Support patients during feeding.
  • Assist patients with ambulation.
  • Help patients use walkers or wheelchairs safely, supervised by a nurse.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks like emptying trash and changing linens.
  • Participate in treatments according to the aide plan of care and state-specific regulations.
  • Engage patients in activities of interest to promote mental alertness.
  • Provide basic emotional and psychological support to patients and household members.
  • Report any changes in patient condition or home situation to a Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • Have at least six months of experience in patient care, preferably in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology settings.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Be certified in CPR.
