Dynamic Communications Leader

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to lead communications efforts for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing PR campaigns to increase awareness of the tournament in Brazil and South America.
  • Maintaining a positive reputation through consistent communications strategies aligned with FIFA's values and principles.
  • Overseeing content creation, stakeholder relations, and issue management to shape the perception of the event and the organisation.
  • Ensuring innovative digital products that meet the needs of FIFA and stakeholders, while advising on media trends and opportunities.
  • Managing media relations to promote the event and showcase FIFA's role as a modern, dynamic, and trustworthy sports organization.

This role requires a collaborative problem-solver and exceptional communicator who can connect content, social media, and video initiatives.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in communications & PR, with experience in similar leadership positions.
  • Familiarity with the world of football and a passion for women's football is a plus.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) and Portuguese (spoken and written).
  • Spanish language skills are an asset.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the year.
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • The right to work in Brazil.
  • The ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
