FIFA Women's World Cup Public Relations Leadership Opportunity

This is a senior role leading public relations, corporate communications, content production, and media relations efforts to support the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We aim to maximize awareness of the tournament in Brazil and South America through targeted PR campaigns, strategic media relationships, client and agency management, consistent messaging with FIFA's strategic goals, and engaging PR events.
  • The successful candidate will maintain the tournament's reputation through effective communications strategies, aligned with FIFA's values and principles, and coordinate with FIFA HQ for global consistency.
  • This position focuses on proactive messaging, stakeholder relations, issue/crisis management to shape perception of the event and the organization.
  • The director will develop and oversee content (text, video, photos, graphics) across platforms ensuring it aligns with the event narrative and connects with fans.
  • This role will ensure innovative digital products meet the needs of FIFA and stakeholders, advise on media trends, and opportunities.
  • Oversight of media relations to promote the event and showcase FIFA's role as a modern sports organization.

This initial freelance position will support preparation phase for FWWC2027, transitioning to fixed-term contract once local subsidiary is established in Brazil.
