Job Overview

This role is responsible for configuring the infrastructure and deploying applications on Windows IIS hosted platform in partnership with teams like Automation, Application support and other infra teams through integration or the dev/ops model resulting in highly available environments and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure IIS 10 web servers and .Net web applications.
  • Manage bindings, website creation/deletion, and backup of website/configuration.
  • Implement App Pools, Virtual Directory, Worker Process, SSL, Access Control, Authentication, and Security.
  • Develop Microsoft Azure PaaS and SaaS solution development technologies including Azure Functions,.NET, JavaScript, Python etc.
  • Operate and monitor Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools.
  • Use deployment tools like Octopus Deploy and scripting knowledge in PowerShell.
  • Understand IIS, ASP.NET application deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Have knowledge on Load balancers & Monitoring tools and cloud technology - Azure.
  • Support/administration experience in MS SQL Server.
  • Experience in Windows Server 2016/2019 administration and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
  • Mandatory English Language proficiency for global collaboration.
  • Strong expertise on IIS 10 architecture, configurations, and best practices.
  • Management of web applications including monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications and web servers.
  • Understanding of load balancing, DNS, and request flow.
  • Collaboration with system and database administrators as well as application support/development teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Working knowledge on deployment and configuration management tools.
  • Scripting skills for automation of day-to-day tasks using PowerShell.
  • Good understanding of windows cluster concepts like load balance and always-on.
  • Exposure to complete project development life cycle.
  • Knowledge on technical operational bottlenecks in deployments.
  • Ensuring technical and process documentation are created and kept up to date.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipeline and its implementation.
  • Implementation of micro services using Docker and creating Docker file and containers.
  • Usage of Docker composes for DEV & QA Environments.

  • Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash basics.
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Platforms: Windows, Linux.
  • Database: MSSQL.
  • Ticketing Tools: JIRA, Service now.
  • Operating System: Linux, UNIX, Windows.
  • Cloud Environment: MS Azure.
  • CI and Build Deployment Tools: Octopus Deploy.
  • Version Control Tool: Azure Devops, TFS.
