Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Specialist to support the coordination of land and environmental regularization projects in Brazil. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Assistant Representative for the FAO Programme Unit in Brazil and will be responsible for providing legal advice on project implementation, drafting legal documents, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law, with experience in public management, land and environmental regularization, and policy formulation. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at various levels.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative titling mechanisms, expand access to rights, and structure legal arrangements for sustainable development with a gender perspective.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduation in Law
  • Minimum professional experience of 5 (five) years in Public Management, working in the formulation, analysis or legal advice of public policies, government programs or land and environmental regularization projects
  • Working knowledge (level C) in Spanish and/or English, and working knowledge in Portuguese (level C)
  • Brazilian Nationality
