As a senior learning assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting student learning and well-being inside and outside the classroom. Working under the supervision of teachers and school administrators, you will ensure that all students have a safe and supportive environment during recess, lunch, and transitions from class to class.
Key Responsibilities:- Support student learning in classrooms by assisting teachers with lesson planning, instructional strategies, and assessment.
- Supervise students during recess and lunch, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
- Collaborate with teachers to prepare materials for learning, including educational resources and activities.
- Assist teachers in instructing small groups of students with varying learning needs.
- Provide coverage and support for classes when teachers are absent or unavailable.
- Bachelor's degree in Language (English or Portuguese)
- Teaching license (licenciatura) in Language (English or Portuguese)
- One year of experience as a learning support staff or teacher
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese (oral and written)
