We are seeking a Head of International Expansion with a strategic focus on Latin America and North America to lead our market entry and consolidation efforts in these regions. We are a financial services Infratech company, offering critical infrastructure solutions such as asset registration, clearing, guarantees, open finance, and regulatory compliance. The challenge is to position the company within sophisticated and highly regulated financial ecosystems, building strong local institutional partnerships and adapting our products to local technical, legal, and cultural requirements.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and lead the international expansion strategy with a primary focus on Latin America (e.g., Mexico, Colombia, Chile) and North America (U.S. and Canada).
- Identify market opportunities for financial infrastructure solutions including open banking, payments, collateral validation, KYC/AML, and asset tokenization.
- Conduct feasibility studies, regulatory assessments, and competitive analysis for each target country.
- Build and negotiate strategic partnerships with local banks, fintechs, regulators, and clearinghouses.
- Collaborate closely with compliance, legal, and technology teams to ensure regulatory and operational adherence.
- Lead go-to-market projects from strategic planning through execution and initial operations.
- Represent the company in regional forums, international events, and institutional stakeholder meetings.
- Support the product team in localizing solutions to each market’s legal, user, and language requirements.
- Build and lead the international expansion team based in the Americas.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, International Relations, or related fields.
- Solid experience in international expansion or business development in fintechs, digital banks, or B2B financial Infratech companies, focused on Latin and North American markets.
- Deep knowledge of financial regulations (BACEN, SEC, FINTRAC, etc.), international compliance (KYC, AML, GDPR/LGPD).
- Fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish (mandatory).
- Strong institutional negotiation and strategic alliance building skills.
- Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-cultural experience.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with market entry or operations in the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, Canada, or Chile.
- Familiarity with financial infrastructure solutions such as DLT, registries, clearing, or regulatory sandboxes.
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in International Business, Strategy, or Financial Markets.
