We are looking to expand our team by hiring a new** Global Staff Accountant, **a team player who is ready to make the role their own and bring their own ideas and innovations to the table. Reporting to Global Controller, the Staff Accountant supports both internal and external financial reporting and analysis, assists with the enaction of accounting policies and procedures, validating proper support of the accounting information, and other ad hoc tasks in the financial process. The Staff Accountant will work with various team members in a collaborative environment to improve business processes, training materials, data clean-up, and on-going support. This position’s location is flexible/remote (with a preference for Europe, Middle East, Africa or Americas working hours).

**Key responsibilities**
- Performs general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct issues raised at the global or regional level
- Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts
- Assists in providing schedules and commentary with respects to operating maintenance accounts results and variances, and with the production of financial statements and applicable commentary
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is preferred
- Minimum experience of 3 years in accounting or financial environment, global exposure to multiple countries would be an advantage
- Familiarity with US GAAP
- Audit experience from management accounting or audit firm is an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages are a plus)
- Data driven person, must be detail oriented with an eye for mistakes
- Good organizational, time management, customer service skills
- Self-starter, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Advanced Excel knowledge is required
- Experience with Netsuite, Sage Intacct, or similar system preferred
