Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the activities related to tax matters and managing routines within the tax department, in accordance with guidelines, standards, procedures, and quality and safety standards of current legislation.
Roles & Responsibilities
You will focus on the following activities:
- Lead the management of tax-related topics, ensuring the fiscal regularity of the company's registrations;
- Consult legislation to support internal projects and departments;
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to optimize the company's tax position;
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns;
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support business decisions;
- Manage and ensure compliance with indirect tax obligations, including VAT and other sales taxes;
- Oversee the preparation and submission of ancillary obligations, such as SPED, DCTF, and other regulatory reports;
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Proven experience in tax planning and compliance;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Proficiency in Office Package;
- Proactive and detail-oriented.
