**Job Profile / Activities**:
Main components of the position:

- Tax Planning / Advisory - Consult on tax and customs matters as needed. Stay up-to-date on tax theses and take the necessary actions on those that can bring positive results for the company. Assisting in the implementation of global tax strategies and goals. Drafting special tax regimes.
- Legislative Activity - Monitor and analyzes the tax law changes and communicate tax issues in a comprehensive manner. Work together with local Governmental Affair Manager and Global Tax to influence legislators and lawmakers to support favorable legislation and regulations.
- Tax Controversy and Audit Activity - Consult on audit activity for direct tax and transfer pricing audits. Lead indirect tax and customs audit. Lead tax litigation matters and manage outside counsels.
- Risk Management - Technical analysis support for uncertain tax positions. Management and update on status of litigation matters. Point of contact for the quarterly tax provision process.
- Tax Compliance - Provide direction on indirect tax reporting requirements and advise on comprehensive tax issues as needed.
- Mergers and Acquisitions - Provides legal tax advice regarding organizational and operational structures including implementation, integration, and post-acquisition/divestiture, as needed. Advise on legal documents related to M&A, divestiture, or organizational changes.

**Basic Qualifications / Skills**:
**Education**:Law degree and relevant Legal Tax qualification

**Experience**:Twelve or more years of professional tax advisory or equivalent industry experience. Presenting strong tax legislation knowledge and with solid experience in tax controversy, tax compliance, and tax planning, including demonstratable success in litigating significant corporate tax issues. Broad understanding of accounting, tax and business processes and systems

**Language**:Advanced English

**Resource Management**: Knowledge of the resources required to achieve business objectives; ability to plan, mobilize and distribute resources to fulfill business objectives and plans.

**Legal Analysis**: Knowledge of methods and tools used in legal analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from both legal and factual information.

**Legal Function**: Knowledge of the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the legal function or department; ability to provide legal consulting, advice and assistance.

**Problem solver **and able to recognize issues and initiate creative solutions.

**Desirable Qualifications**:
Significant experience with increasing responsibilities with a large law firm and/or multinational companies.
