**Your Purpose**

We are looking for a Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join Bitso and support the continued build-out and evolution of our Transaction Monitoring team. The mission of the Compliance Transaction Monitoring team at Bitso is to perform ongoing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring and other ongoing reviews to meet our regulatory requirements.

**Who You Are**

Failure to meet any of the following required qualifications could result in an automatic rejection.
- Proven English fluency.
- Bachelor's degree ;
- 2-3 years experience in transaction monitoring/compliance/AML with a financial institution or payment-focused company preferred
- Experience in working in a crypto related investigation environment is strongly preferred
- Strong technical communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge and familiarity with Chainalysis or other crypto investigation tools
- Deep understanding and comprehension of Bitcoin and/or other virtual currencies, and blockchain analysis
- Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, risks, and typologies
- Strong interest in technology/knowledge of the industry
- An ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a drive to deliver outstanding results
- Ability to work in an independent environment where you are expected to excel with little direction

**What You Will Do**
- Monitor and act upon transaction monitoring alerts, including reviewing possible suspicious activity and activity that violates Bitso's rules
- Use detective-like mentality to investigate and escalate potentially suspicious activity across all AML typologies across the Bitso platform
- Good proficiency in conducting risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews and enhanced due diligence;
- Monitoring and documentation of unusual activity or AML flags;
- Occasionally attend compliance-related seminars to stay abreast of the compliance industry
- Establishing good relationships with various departments legal, customer service, operations and marketing to ensure good operational synergy;
- Able to handle large volumes of alerts and cases, and take on new tasks of importance at late notice
