Senior Tax Analyst

The Senior Tax consultant has the following responsibilities and key tasks related to BW Energy’s (BWE) operation in Brazil:
- Execute the day-to-day tax compliance, including calculation and the preparation of the tax returns, regarding PIS, COFINS, ICMS, ICMS, IPI and ISS and possibly other indirect taxes.
- Crosscheck and validate tax obligation.
- Reconcile tax information with accounting.
- Responsible for the indirect tax matters following the tax laws and regulations.
- Assist projects to implement tax strategies and/or documents and supporting the current tax position.
- Interface with stakeholders, especially Accounting and Finance Team.
- Prepare tax calculation records and ensure accuracy of tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies, policies, and systems to support business plans.
- Prepare tax requirements and the documentation related to tax incentives.
- Attend the tax authorities and government agencies on tax assessments, tax audits and any relevant tax issue
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field.
- Tax experience in an accounting firm, major law firm, and in industry, preferably an Oil and Gas corporation
- Knowledge in tax obligations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex tax requirements both in Portuguese and in English.
- Ability to understand and work with ERP systems.
- Fluent in oral and written Portuguese and English language
