As one of the most important reinsurers, we are involved in the largest and relevant losses, supporting our clients and actively participating in the loss adjusting process. The Claims Department of Munich Re do Brasil is responsible for Claims Management of several lines of business operated in Brazil, except for Life, and has an exciting job opportunity for a **Claims Consultant**.

As Claims Consultant, you will be responsible for managing reinsurance loss portfolio with a proactive approach, in order to guarantee the correct reserves and payments, keeping a close interaction with internal and external stakeholders, exchanging information on cross divisional level and cooperating within Munich Re’s Claims community.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the losses of different lines of business covered by reinsurance treaties, verifying coverage and authorizing payments within the authority limits;
- Set reserves as timely and precisely as possible and authorize payments promptly;
- Directly interacting with cedents and brokers regarding coverage and indemnification;
- Supporting Claims Managers with administration, e.g. file maintenance, payment process, usage of applicable tools, etc.;
- Embracing the use of technology and relevant IT tools such as dashboards, to increase effectiveness of your own work and that of the team;
- Participating in internal claims reviews and external cedent reviews;
- Fulfilling internal reporting requirements;
- Manage relationships with our internal (mainly with the Accounting Department) and external clients.

**Your profile**
- Insurance Professional/ Claims Consultant/ Experienced Technician with an interest in developing their profile in international reinsurance claims;
- Willingness to learn and to work proactively and independently in a changing environment;
- Three or more years of experience in (re)insurance business, particularly in claims handling;
- Strong client focus and pragmatic problem solver;
- A good team player with a proactive, efficient and independent work style;
- High level of commitment and willingness to contribute to a good team spirit;
- Curious, enthusiastic, with keen interest in understanding our business and market needs in order to support the team in creating solutions for the client’s needs;
- Fluent command of English, oral and written skills, is a requirement due to regular interaction with the Headquarter.
