The HRBP will establish the talent and HR agenda in support of business objectives for LATAM. The work is primarily strategic in nature and this role typically sit on the leadership team. Specific initiatives may include - Organization Design, Workforce Planning, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Assessment and Succession Planning, Leadership Retention and Associate Engagement Strategy.
This position serves as the main point of contact for all HR related matters for Cepheid LATAM operations (currently in four countries: Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru). This role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement to deliver a balanced and supportive associate experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage full HR agenda and processes/deliverables to all LATAM People Leaders and associates
- Be a partner to People Leaders and the business to develop and drive organization and people strategies, solutions, and plans; to recommend new approaches, policies, ways to effect continual improvement aligned to business objectives, productivity, and development
- Provide compensation counsel and support including compensation planning, review and approval of compensation actions, promotions and job re-leveling for assigned client groups
- Provide management coaching to business leaders and orient new people managers to lead the Danaher way
- Support compliance with local labor code. Follow all Danaher/Cepheid and local policies including the Ethics & Compliance Program. Assure employee data and records are accurately maintained. Collaborate with and advise business leaders on investigations and disciplinary processes regarding employee relations and performance-related issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive employee relations matters.
**Preferred Experience/Skills/Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree required with minimum of 5+ years in HR
- Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in matrixed organization
- Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish (desired)
- Travel will be required both domestic and international up to 25%
- Experience in lean and continuous improvement practices
