**Job Purpose**

Leading all the well engineering activities for Deep Water projects in the Americas, according to guidelines and processes set out in the Integrated Solutions Management System, international and/or local standards and regulations, and customer requirements.

**About the Team**

Our team to provide technical input to the well construction, completions, well intervention and abandonment phases, from the concept and tendering stage through project commencement, execution, and project close out.

As an **IS Well Engineering Manager - Deep Water Americas** you will take the ownership of delivering well design, technical requirements, and operational plans to accomplish both Baker Hughes and customer’s technical and financial goals.

**Responsibilities***
- Ensuring all engineering activities are in line with HSE policies and procedures.
- Driving HSE culture by setting example through safe work practices.
- Conducting business according to Baker Hughes values.
- Leading the development technical standards for well design
- Leading a team of well engineers
- Preparing, participating, and leading peer reviews, peer assists, and other quality assurance activities related to global project
- Leading technical scope of root cause analysis
- Providing engineering recommendations and advice to regional DW project teams.
- Evaluating and implementing best practices and technological advancements to IS operations.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders as needed and make recommendations to drive flawless well delivery and operational excellence.
- Complying data management according to IS procedures.
- Mentoring and coaching engineering team members.

**Requirements (Skill/Experience)***
- To have bachelor's degree preferably in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering - For Brazilian citizens CREA is a must
- Have solid experience of well construction experience (engineering and operations)
- Have solid experience of relevant work experience in deep water well construction, completions, intervention.
- Demonstrate knowledge in well design, completions, drill bits/mills, BHA/drillstring design, engineering simulations, field operations, preparation of programs, casing and/or tubing design, fluids and cementing programs, well control equipment specification, operations optimization or similar
- Have previous relevant experience working in integrated projects or for an operator.
- Demonstrate Geomechanics knowledge.
- Proven record of accomplishment of continuous improvement and optimization of designs and operations.
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues across all businesses/cultures, achieve objectives through effective influencing, and establish credibility with senior leaders.
- Have an excellent analytics and problem-solving profile, including ability to form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information.
- Demonstrate excellent English oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex topics into clear and simple messages, Portuguese and Spanish will be a plus.
- Know MS office suite, well engineering and design software (for example: hydraulics, torque and drag, casing/tubing design, casing seat, etc.)
- Be able to live and act in Rio de Janeiro/Ventura
