Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working with legal or related environments.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Portuguese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience working on complex fact-finding, internet technology and general litigation.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage numerous cases and/or projects under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.

**About the job**:
As a Legal Specialist, you will complete tasks and provide support to the Legal Department on various legal and administrative matters within the scope of a larger project. You will act as a point person for internal or external clients, prepare preliminary drafts of legal documents, create process documentation, and lead training sessions. You will own well-defined projects and handle legal and business/non-legal matters of low to moderate risk of complexity with some guidance including managing information and documentation, conducting legal reviews, advising clients on risks and solutions, and improving processes. You will interact with multiple groups within the Legal Department, with internal stakeholders across Google, and with external parties and articulate legal and operational needs with parties who may have competing priorities. You will engage in the community to improve and sustain our culture and operations - making Google a better place to work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work alongside cross-functional Legal and non-Legal teams to conduct fact-finding investigations to gather information, documents and data in response to regulatory agencies and other third-parties requests.
- Help scale operations as Google grows. Identify areas for increased efficiency where new or existing technological or/and process solutions can be deployed to creatively solve problems or develop time-saving workflows for medium risk and complexity matters.
- Investigate and respond to consumer complaints, small claims complaints, gather facts and supporting materials/information, prepare responsive letter briefs and collaborate with outside counsel.
- Process legal matters for both internal and external parties, with some guidance.
