Meta is looking for a Public Policy Manager, Economic Policy (LatAm) to join its Economic Policy team as part of the Global Public Policy organization. As a Policy Manager, you will support the media, commerce, and trade policy team as well as the company’s Legal, Partnership, and wider Policy teams, and advise Meta product teams on public policy matters related to media, intellectual property (IP), and electronic commerce (e-commerce) to amplify the benefits that technology brings to creativity, commerce, trade, and economic empowerment.In this role, you will assist in the formulation and implementation of the company’s Latin America economic policy strategy, with a focus on media, IP, e-commerce, and trade issues in coordination with local Policy teams, and advise Meta's internal teams on our public policy strategy to help guide the development of products and services. You will monitor and analyze economic policy trends for the company and relevant stakeholders. You will also aid in the development of Meta's positions in public presentations or closed-door policy briefings, including at relevant regionally focused inter-governmental bodies, working closely with and supporting a cross-functional team on public policy issues.You have a passion for problem solving and coming up with creative solutions. In addition, you should be dedicated, detail-oriented, resourceful, analytical, and knowledgeable about emerging e-commerce issues, and have strong presentation and organizational skills. You should also be comfortable meeting high expectations under quick deadlines and prepared to guide, direct and execute in order to get work done well and fast. This is a full-time position located in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Miami or Sao Paulo and will require international travel.

**Public Policy Manager, Economic Policy (LATAM) Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with a highly cross-functional team to lead economic policy work relating to a media, IP, commerce, and trade in the LatAm region.
- Identify, monitor, and analyze economic policy issues affecting Meta at the international, regional, federal, and state levels in LatAm, with a focus on media, IP, commerce, and trade.
- Advise Meta business, product, and regional policy teams on policy matters as inputs to the development of our products and policy positions.
- Articulate our relevant economic policy positions in briefing papers, internal meetings, and consultation responses
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and deepening of relationships with NGOs, academic experts and other stakeholders in the economic-related policy space to cultivate expert resources and third party engagement needed by public policy, programs, communications, and other teams throughout Meta.
- Communicate with external stakeholders on behalf of Meta on topics related to e-commerce, media, IP, and trade
- Identify changing business and regulatory trends and develop proactive policy strategies.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of experience in public policy, law, technology, or similar field
- Knowledge of, and experience working with, economic policy matters and the related technology business and policy ecosystem (e.g., IP, consumer protection, trade & customs, financial services, tax, competition, and anti-counterfeiting)
- Experience working with policymakers or international organizations
- Experience communicating and presenting effectively to diverse stakeholders
- Experience prioritizing across multiple workstreams, while maintaining productive cross-functional relationships
Fully Bilingual English/Spanish

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of e-commerce or IP policy experience
- Project management experience
- International policy experience, including experience working at, or with, international organizations with focus on economic policy or trade.
- Experience working with and advising technical product teams
- Advanced degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, or related field
- Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
- Fluency in Portuguese
