**Responsibilities**
- The Staff Accountant will support the Finance Department by performing various accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and allocations. This role will also coordinate activities with Accounting and Tax local service provider as well as with in-house Billing and Collection team. This position reports to the Senior Manager Accounting and will interact with the Financial Controller and VP of Finance.

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with Brazil and US GAAP principles
- Ensuring local statutory and tax compliance incl. VAT and WHT, key contact for local authorities and 3rd parties
- Prepare journal entries following the company’s best practices and reporting
- Assist in monthly close, expenses and payments with Accounting and Tax local service provider and with Billing and Collections team
- Monitor Condecine Funds process using Ancine system; serve as liaison between NBCUniversal and local Ancine agency
- Prepare Condecine Funds reports for management review; responsible for recording, reconciling, and managing Condecine local taxes
- Prepare financial close deliverables according to schedule
- Prepare monthly and quarterly BS reconciliations
- Perform Blackline reconciliations for corporate accounts used in SAP
- Assist in local Treasury activities with third party
- Work with departments regarding expenses and payment
- Frequently meet with team to ensure successful reporting and closings
- Ad Hoc assignments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Languages: English and Portuguese required, Spanish a plus/optional
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field
- Experience in managing Condecine Process
- Advanced technical skills in Excel and integrated ERP Accounting systems such as SAP and SNAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver while working under time pressure on multiple assignments

- Exhibits strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of financial software programs
