"Politics first” grounds our work: Politics is the lens through which we view the world, and we are committed to analysis that is free of political bias and the influence of private interests. **Position overview** Eurasia Group is seeking an experienced and motivated **Associate** to support our Energy, Climate and Resources (ECR) team. The team is cross-cutting and works with country research as well as other industry groups to provide a deep understanding of energy and environmental trends in the geopolitical context. ECR develops and communicates the firm’s key views on the latest energy and sustainability trends and upcoming political risks for clients across all industries and regions. Substantial comfort with data and producing chartwork in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a requirement. We need someone who is comfortable not just in analyzing trends in data to draw conclusions about what the data is telling us, where things are headed, and how markets are responding to political risks and pressures. We need someone who can look through information and draw out comparisons and trends. **Responsibilities**: - Regular reporting and analysis of energy and climate change developments in priority jurisdictions around the world, tracking and commenting on key political, policy, and regulatory developments. - Data collection, quantitative and qualitative research and analysis in energy, climate, and sustainability. - In-depth research and writing of both short analyses and longer client reports. - Frequent preparation of background materials to support client-facing presentations. **Qualifications**: - An advanced degree (master’s degree preferred) in political science, international relations, or other relevant discipline (e.g., economics). - A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in politics, policy, and/or energy, climate, and sustainability. Understanding of finance a plus. - Flexibility and adaptability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands. - Proficiency in the use of MS Office (especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. **Technicalities** At Eurasia Group, the health and safety of our employees are our top priority.
