
Medical Education Manager

This role is responsible for the design, facilitation and the implementation of Resident / Fellow training, Patient Outcomes, Practice Management, Allied Health and other special education programming. Responsible for driving the strategic planning of these medical education functions and for generating new ideas for Medical Education programming.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Directs instructional design efforts for special programs as well as more traditional Medical Education programs Links segment Managers to Resident / Fellow education programming needs.
- Evaluates programs and provides feedback to medical education staff regularly.
- Directs strategic planning of special medical education programs.
- Specifically, drives strategic planning of the Resident / Fellow training programs, Patient Outcomes, Practice Management, Allied Health and other alternative education programs.
- Manages and develops direct reports.
- Manages and develops yearly budget and Annual Needs Assessment associated with these programs.
- Develops course agendas, drives instructional design process, creation of brochures and promotional materials.
- Develops relationships with faculty, drives course development and execution of programs.
**Expected Areas of Competence**:
- Ability to direct and guide the instruction design of medical education programs.
- Ability to identify training needs and link to business objectives.
- Knowledge of latest medical education techniques and methodologies.
- Ability to design training materials for both instructional and electronic mediums.
**Education/Experience Requirements**:
- B.S. degree, in business or instructional design preferred.
- Experience managing others and working directly with customers, technical experts and professional staffs in medical devices or healthcare arenas preferred.
- MBA or work on an MBA is preferred.
**Travel Requirements**:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and frequently on short notice.
