Job SummaryThe Data Scientist is responsible for analyzing data in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and developing Decision Support tools that are applied within our digital product portfolio, where we use data to generate insights and enable actions.
Responsibilities/Description: - Join the digital product development process from screening, to diagnostics, to implementation with a necessary degree of on site presence. - Connect with the knowledge owners to understand the use cases, mainly in the areas of chemical engineering, process control, and scheduling. - Digest, qualify, prepare, and analyze data made available by Data Engineers. Update existing or engineer new analytical or model features. - Develop Decision Support tools, such as analysis and models in close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, while following the Digital and Data Science Methodology. Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Undergraduate degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or Data Science (traditional DS background) with hands on Manufacturing experience. - 7 years prior experience in production industry. - 3+ years of experience in an industrial setting as a Data Scientist. - Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. - Experience in working with large datasets, Historians, relational databases (SQL). Training / Certifications: - Digital Business Translator Training - Data Engineering Basics
