**Job Description**:

- Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing across 6 countries in LATAM: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru (approximately 150 employees total). Future-state may include Canada as well (approximately 50 employees).
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Will be heavily involved in upcoming global payroll implementation project.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions and reports of stock runs including related withholdings.
- Balance and resolve payroll discrepancies through year-end adjustments and tax form processing.
- Ensures compliance with federal and municipal laws and best practices.
- Provide customer and stakeholder support for issues that arise and develop a plan for problem-resolution, along with mitigation of issues on a go-forward basis.
- Recommend, develop and implement changes to processes, procedures, and workflows, leading to greater efficiency and accuracy throughout the payroll operations.
- Engage in the typical activities and responsibilities of a manager including planning, evaluating, organizing, and integrating, while maintaining a focus on teamwork, communication and the change management process in order to be successful.
- Conduct performance evaluations, training and development, salary change recommendations, promotions, disciplinary actions (including terminations), etc.
- Prepares reconciliations and journals, and facilitate statutory audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Support Accounting leadership team on metrics and projects on an ad-hoc basis.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of experience in payroll including managing a team

Preferred requirements:

- Language skills: must be proficient in Portuguese, Spanish and English
- Extensive payroll and other benefit related expertise in LATAM countries
- Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
- Experience with payroll system implementations and integrations
- Proficiency using CloudPay and/or NetSuite is preferred
- Experience working with benefits vendors
- Experience with statutory audits
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
