Media Planner

**Overview**

The **Media Planner** supports the integrated media team and has the responsibility to create and implement omnichannel media campaigns across multiple advertising platforms and publishers. They develop consistent, quality omnichannel media plans with careful attention to campaign budgets. Media planners will work directly with vendors and publishers to ascertain the latest and greatest capabilities and offerings for our clients. Media planners possess excellent project management oversight and exhibit attention to detail to meet or exceed campaign deadlines. Media planners will work to provide optimization recommendations for clients and work to support our internal account teams to best evolve and optimize our strategic omnichannel media.

This individual owns the media planning and execution tasks across key pharmaceutical clients while working directly with both internal and external stakeholders. This position will report to the Director, Media Strategy

**Responsibilities**

Media Planning and Buying
- Approaches media plans from a holistic media perspective, putting the strategy first
- Demonstrates knowledge of all media channels, keeping up with new trends in the marketplace
- Traffics and QAs all media campaigns to ensure accuracy and on-time launch
- Monitors the daily performance and spend of campaigns to ensure accurate impression and KPI delivery
- Owns financial reconciliation process and updates billing trackers and invoice management
- Ensures delivery of error free reporting
- Proposes optimizations and test and learns; oversees the implementation of flawless optimizations with media vendors and publishers
- Develop and issue Insertion Orders (IOs) using approved language and approach
- Manages organized media campaign flowcharts with attention to detail and an eye for continuous development
- Promotes the media offerings of Syneos Health internally and externally, selling in the media capabilities where applicable

Systems & Tools
- Hands-on experience with ad technologies including ad serving, ad-verification, and 3rd party data providers is required
- Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
- Experience with ad serving solutions, tag management and operations
- Knowledge of research tools and capabilities

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of progressively senior experience in integrated media planning or buying.
- Prior experience within an agency in the role of media planning or buying
- Excellent presentation skills, and history of successful client engagements
- Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
- Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills
- Pharmaceutical experience a must.
