MISSION

You will be a member of Global Finance Shared Service Center, Being a part of a diverse team, Senior Executive General Accounting will be responsible for R2R function relating to financial accounting, financial reporting, tax including ensuring balance sheet accounts reflect accurate financial position according to IFRS, Local GAAP and Group accounting policies for the Group Companies integrated to Corporate Business Services (CBS) Colombo Sri Lanka. The General Accounting process falls within the Global Record to Report process.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENT
- Provide Support to R2R(Record to Report) leadership in administration of the R2R process to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of transactions, reconciliation and reporting in accordance with local regulations and specifications;
- Manage the Administration of fixed asset database for the entire beyond Road Business ; process of Asset creation in ERP system, the project code and WBS in alignment with the Approved CERs;
- Ensure 100% completion of the balance sheet reconciliation, classifications, and Conduct Balance sheet reviews with Clients to drive and clearing long outstanding balance;
- Ensure accurate entries/reports/schedules needed to complete a timely financial close in accordance with local GAAP & IFRS where applicable;
- Support Timely submission of global reports to facilitate group consolidation and management & coordination of Internal and External Audit with Globally nominated Audit partners;
- Ensure accurate financial information needed to complete a timely financial close Internal and External Audits in accordance with Micheline Statutory and Management reporting requirement;
- Responsible in supporting R2R Leadership for the maintenance and the transactional consistency of the Global Operational Chart of account and Local Chart of account for the different group legal entities;
- Leading the R2R related Continuous process improvements and new service Creation and present to R2R leadership in a periodic manner;
- Manage fixed assets transactions within Global procedures and policies and any gaps to be immediately reported to the right stakeholders;
- Manage R2R related SAP UAT support to clients where required.

OTHER SKILLS
- Strong change management skills;
- Knowledge and experience with international accounting, finance and tax regulations is a added advantage;
- Proficient in using SAP in Financial accounting;
- Project management experience preferred;
- Ability to effectively work in a multi-location & Multiple time zones and adapt to different cultures.

EXTERNAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University;
- Part qualification in CIMA (UK), ACCA (UK)/ CA (SL);
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge and experience with international accounting, finance and tax regulations will be an added advantage;
- Experience in ERP system, preferably in SAP (FI, MM) or any other ERP system is preferred;
- Ability to work in different Shifts (UK/USA) will be an added advantage;
- Strong change management skills;
- Excellent level of verbal and written English communication skills;
