**Regional Trade Compliance Analyst - Consumer | SP**
Main responsibilities:
- Review internal controls and processes to guarantee they comply with applicable Customs Laws & Regulations, ensuring internal Policies & Procedures are maintained in accordance with the Global Trade Compliance Standards;
- Ensure that import and export operations comply with the regulations within LATAM region. This includes assisting in the deployment of regional and/or local Trade Compliance Procedures and guidelines that will assure compliance with import and export regulations, executing audit and risk assessment programs including corrective action plans and providing leadership in strategic projects that affect the supply chain to ensure proper structuring of transactions and opportunities;
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend process improvements, manage and escalate compliance issues, and oversee corrective action plans for the LATAM region;
- Support in identify, prevent, monitor, decide or provide guidance to situations that may have impact on compliance, with laws, regulations, HCBI Guide, Global Standards of Trade Compliance, J&J Policy on Business Conduct and other J&J policies;
- Assist, address and solve customs matters, driving business solution to ensure compliance with customs within LATAM region on projects focused on Trade Compliance development (customs valuation, tariff classification, rules of origin, special trade programs, export controls, recordkeeping, etc.);
- Assist the business and operations with all trade matters and economic intelligence necessary to maximize opportunities, mitigate risks, and make educated decisions associated with import and export operations, assisting in self-assessing compliance with Customs and other government agencies requirements and compliance;
- Assist in communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level;
- Monitor upcoming LATAM customs regulatory changes;
- Experience in developing cross-functional relationships to advise on and help manage worldwide customs issues affecting Trade Compliance, Customs, Tax, International Trade, Investment and Tax planning;
- Work in collaboration with worldwide Trade Compliance areas and other Corporate Compliance teams, deploying and retro-feeding tools, KPIs, Standards and Processes across the region and representing the region in their area of expertise;
- Strong organizational and relationship skills, being able to work independently with other regions (North America, EMEA, APAC) in global projects and its deployment in LATAM with minimum supervision.
**Qualifications**
Qualifications - External Qualifications:
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Business Administration, International Trade or related;
- +3 years of proven track record in Trade Compliance activities involving Customs, International Trade and/or Supply Chain;
- Fluency in English and advanced Spanish (Portuguese is desirable);
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
- Reasonable knowledge level in risk management, risk assessment, process adherence and internal controls in a global/regional environment;
