Sr Financial Analyst, Br Operations Finance

Amazon is seeking a Transportation Financial Analyst to help lead and oversee critical functions within this rapidly growing organization. This Transportation Finance Analyst will be primarily responsible for business partnering, decision support, financial modeling, controllership and operations cost reduction. This person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high-growth organization. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various retail, transportation, and finance teams to identify best practices across the network and lead cost improvement efforts for transportation. This role will also perform variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews as well as execute ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Expertise in collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions; - Develop and maintain key reporting metrics; - Identify and develop key business opportunities and drive efficiency while balancing customer needs; - Partner across Operations to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance; - Perform the annual operational planning process and development of the three year strategic plan. Drive variance analysis against budgets for the network, identify risks and opportunities; - Ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained. Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary. Perform the operational planning process for transportation. Drive variance analysis against budgets, identify risks and opportunities. Partner with several different stakeholders, like retail, operations, procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to drive optimal cross functional decision that maximize Amazon's long term free cash flow. Ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained. Review business cases for capital expenditure, ensure execution of capex plan and fixed asset management. Drive standardization of operational processes within the transportation network, adopt and share best practices across the company. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree; - Experience of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience; - Experience of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience; - Experience of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience; - Experience of finance or a related analytical field experience; - Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence; - English Advanced. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business; - MBA, or CPA; - Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse.
