**Job Description Summary**:
The Regional Compliance Leader - LATAM provides domain expertise in the areas of risk management, local regulatory compliance, and demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This position will report to the Chief Compliance Officer for the Aviation business. In this role you will lead the compliance program across Latin America and manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Partners with Aviation's regional business leaders to sustain and grow a culture of integrity in Latin America primarily supporting GE Aviation legal and compliance matters in GEIQ located in Querétaro Mexico and Celma located in Petropolis Brazil.
- Leads an operating rhythm to engage business leaders and functional stakeholders such as regional Compliance Review Boards.
- Leads a regional compliance network consisting dotted-line, part-time site compliance representatives & ombuds to promote open reporting and a superior integrity culture.
- Provides guidance and coaching to the compliance network in terms of compliance expertise and leadership development.
- Partners with Aviation business compliance leaders for each division to design and implement compliance programs involving ~15 policy and risk areas, to ensure the early warning of new local regulations and practices impacting Aviation program and the timely localization of the relevant policies and procedures for full compliance.
- Partners with Aviation Risk Leader to review requests and transactions associated with high-risk policy areas or any major areas of concern.
- Leads the regional program to ensure the localized and effective training & communications
- Leads the compliance risk assessments and abatement actions across LATAM teams and sites.
- Manages and coordinates compliance investigations and effective corrective actions
- Devote up to 20% capacity to support L&E legal matters in the region.
- Identifies, proposes, and executes improvements to Aviation's existing compliance program, policies and processes to drive better efficiency and effectiveness.
- Interact with key customers, joint ventures, and business partners to share best practices and provide training to support the development and growth of their integrity programs.

- Guides appointment of LATAM compliance network, establishes retention plans, and creates opportunity for talent development in an area of technical and domain expertise aligned to organizational vision; while, building a more diverse workforce.
**Basic Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school
- At least 8 years of compliance experience, with at least 2 of those years advising on labor and employment matters and requirements
- Member in good standing with the Bar
