**Description**:** Typical Responsibilities**

Ensure all Project Accounting Controls (projects on time, on budget and being capitalized properly)

Project Closing Process Owner, supporting PMs, reporting in PIMS (as part of CT-25) for all LA projects (Crop + functions (R&D, IT, etc))

SOX control owner for all project controls - of all legacies and functions - across LA region

PT&E key contact for all internal and external Accounting Audits (CapEx related)

Support all the Project Managers across the region with Project Accounting related matters

Interface with Global Fixed Asset Coordinators and global PI Team - best practices alignment/discussion

Continuous tracking and ownership of all CapEx related Tax Credit Reclaiming workflows and data in Brazil

Ensure that local fixed asset requirements are being properly addressed (fixed asset tags)

Support and supervise 3rd party team

Coordinate/consolidate, on a monthly basis, one-pager reports with PMs and CEL (Crop)

Coordinate monthly Cash Flow review and Periodic CapEx status updates/reports for regional leadership

**People Management (by influence)**:
Provides leadership for an effective and cohesive project team by ensuring other functions to support project execution, cross-function communications are adequate, and personality conflicts are managed, for owner and contractor members.

**Communication and documentation**:
Support PM´s on the Capital Accounting Authorization process from the formal request and approval to closure in accordance with the policies and procedures of Corteva Capital Planning.

Partners with the business finance analyst to prepare financial evaluations, asset write-offs that may occur, and ensures necessary financial reporting and accounting is performed

**Qualifications**:
2+ years' experience working with project accounting controls

1+ years´ experience with TAX reclaiming process related matters in Brazil

Experience and ability with Excel, SAP, and other corporate softwares

B.S. in Accounting or financial related areas

Fluent in Portuguese and Intermediary English, spoken and written. Spanish is desirable
