The role:
As a SoftwareONE Associate Consultant - DevOps you will be key to driving efficiency across our teams and tools within SoftwareONE, working across our Enterprise class tool suite including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and vendor specific API’s.

Operating in an Agile framework to deliver change at pace your experience in Powershell, BASH or Python will be essential to the success of our services.

You will be part of a dynamic team of skilled DevOPs colleagues, expected to keep your skills and qualifications up to date through SoftwareONE’s generous training programme. These skills will extend beyond your current abilities ensuring an interesting and challenging environment to work in

Your spoken English language and communications skills will be essential in keeping your global stakeholders informed of progress and dealing with their concerns effectively.

At SoftwareONE you will have the chance to experience a broad range of technologies, working on Enterprise class tools across cutting edge platforms.


What we need to see from you:

- Minimum of Intermediate experience working in DevOps, on Azure and or AWS
- Experience of the following key technologies
- Azure DevOps and Pipelines
- Lambda
- Github or other Repo solutons
- CI / CD
- An ability to understand core IT Infrastructure, including TCP Networking, DNS, Storage and Virtualisation
- Proven ability to deliver project based DevOPs solutions
- Ability to create basic scripts in at least one of the following is desirable
- Python
- BASH
- Powershell
- Tooling specific API ‘s
- Minimum Junior experience working in Operating Systems
- Windows
- Linux (desirable)

Desirable Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation Level certified
- Professional DevOps qualifications (Azure, AWS or other scripting qualifications)

Other skills
- Desire to work in fast-paced, challenging environment
- Willingness to work across shifts if required
- Experienced in a Service Desk environment
- Excellent timekeeping
- Highly motivated and results oriented
- Active listener and Excellent communications skills
- Methodical approach to troubleshooting
- A proven desire to learn new technologies
- Contribute to the central escalation knowledgebase and rive efficiency into your daily tasks
