Associate Price Reporter - Biofuels
**The Team**:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the world’s leading price reporting organization as it strengthens and grows its presence across biofuel and feedstock markets. Customers in over 150 countries look to our expertise in pricing, analytics and news to deliver greater transparency and efficiency to markets. The Americas biofuels and feedstock pricing team is responsible for key pricing benchmarks across the region.
**Responsibilities and Impact**:
Driving market coverage on feedstocks in Brazil and Argentina, reporting on daily physical trading activity as well as bids, offers, and other relevant information.
Building and managing our database of contacts, seeking potential new sources to contribute to our assessment process, and developing a close business relationship with market participants.
Identifying opportunities to refine methodology and help launch new price assessments.
Writing a weekly commentary and daily assessment rationale explaining the trends driving prices.
Creating news stories and multimedia coverage.
Representing Platts at industry events as well as in face-to-face meetings with market participants to drive market adoption.
Work closely with relevant units across the organization, such as commercial, analytics, and news.
**Impact**: We are seeking a price specialist with biofuels and feedstocks market experience, able to drive our pricing coverage in Brazil. This is an exciting opportunity to steer S&P Global Commodity Insights's biofuels and feedstocks assessments from inception to adoption as price benchmarks.
**What We’re Looking For**:Basic Required Qualifications**:
Two to five years’ experience in the biofuels market or a comparable agriculture market, accompanied awareness of exchange traded derivatives a benefit.
Strong communication skills that demonstrate good listening, clear writing style, and strong verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally.
Existing network of contacts in the industry is a benefit.
Fluent in English and Portuguese.
Excellent English writing skills.
Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
**Additional Preferred Qualifications**:
A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
An ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
Existing network of contacts in the industry preferred.
Additional Spanish language skills would be an advantage.
Degree in Agronomics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Journalism, or similar.
