Operations Manager, Brazil

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of regional data operations services. This includes managing departmental functions such as computer operations, reformatting, logistics, indexing, and quality control. The role ensures the accurate transcription and handling of E&P data across all operational areas and plays a key role in aligning regional performance with organizational goals. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Country Manager and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams.

**Tasks**:

- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage the regional operations budget.
- Evaluate new business opportunities and negotiate service costs to support growth and profitability.
- Foster client satisfaction through proactive communication, follow-ups, and in-person meetings to strengthen relationships and drive revenue.
- Establish and maintain efficient workflows, prioritize tasks, optimize resource allocation, and approve departmental expenditures.
- Oversee performance and career development for staff—including hiring, retention, coaching, disciplinary actions, and recognition—in close collaboration with HR to ensure alignment with company policies and best practices.
- Deliver hands-on training for regional staff on proprietary software and technical tools, tailored to departmental needs and supported by ongoing local mentorship.
- Partner with the HSE team to uphold a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with documentation, training, and reporting standards.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
The Operations Manager oversees all local operations departments and is responsible for delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports to senior management.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**:
This is a full-time position. As a full-time position, the Operations Manager is eligible to participate in the regional benefits offered to Katalyst employees.

Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

**Travel**:
The Operations Manager may be required to travel to attend off-site meetings or errands. Mileage for offsite meetings or errands will be reimbursed at the current regional rate.

**Required Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, geosciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the E&P industry.
- In-depth knowledge of E&P data management practices and standards.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in a technical or operational setting.
- Working proficiency in English, both oral and written.
