
Strategic Partner Lead, News and Publishing

Minimum qualifications:
- 10 years of experience working on publishing advertising platforms and solutions.
- Experience working in a news environment, and journalism and media ecosystem.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Portuguese fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience developing partnerships, managing stakeholders, leading strategic initiatives, and structuring and coordinating complex agreements.
- Experience working in a fast-paced publishing environment, establishing relationships and presence within the agency marketplace.
- Ability to mobilize people across a wide range of functions and levels and act as a reliable source of information for internal and external clients.
- Excellent project leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
**About the job**:
As a Strategic Partner Lead, you’ll have the opportunity to create long-lasting relationships with our partners in the News and Publishing function, and help develop the strategy of the team. You will renew existing partnerships, and create and maximize on potential opportunities. You'll also grow existing partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of our ever-growing suite of offerings. You will work cross-functionally with different Google product teams to identify, prioritize, and implement strategies to help assigned partners.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing business with different accounts and coordinating with Product, Sales, and Business Development teams to bring the best of Google to our partners. You will understand the business of our partners. You will solve complex challenges, building relationships with external and internal executive and leadership teams across various functions. You will work with large partners to develop business strategies for their online content.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create engagement plans for each partner to ensure Google is involved in all key areas and enabling teams via cross-functional industry narratives, best practice sharing communities and newsletters. Engage with ecosystems and bring Google to solve industry challenges.
- Develop and execute the partnership strategy on large strategic accounts, including solution promoting and developing comprehensive plans for the partners within their portfolio, including growth opportunities identification, action planning, business growth forecast.
- Work with cross-functional internal teams to stay coordinated on industry challenges and highlight relevant opportunities for Google teams.
- Plan Google’s presence at key industry conferences and attend conferences to extract learnings. Manage and allocate budget toward initiatives that align with Google’s priorities and maximize impact.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the partnership solution suite and its advantages.
