Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience working in a media company in partnerships, business development, product management, general management, or sales- Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience as a strategic thought leader at a large global media company
- Experience working collaboratively to build agreement pipelines, discuss agreements, and execute under deadlines
- Experience with media companies (e.g., newspapers and magazines), including working with digital content distribution strategies and subscription/paid content business models
- Ability to influence all levels of management cross-functionally and externally
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues with great attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills to structure partnerships models and manage technical, agreement, and financial issues

**About the job**:
Global Product Partnerships (GPP) discusses and manages Content Partnerships (e.g., data licensing agreements) and Actions Integrations. These partnerships help build and differentiate Google’s products in several areas, including Search, Google Assistant, Geo (e.g., Maps and Local), News and Publishing, Research and Machine Intelligence, as well as Chrome/Web, Developer Products, Identity, and Google Lens.

Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive News-related product partnerships, including defining partnerships strategy and providing feedback and market intelligence to Google’s Product teams.
- Understand product launches and implications for News industry partners and maintain/evolve relationships with them.
- Work with Product to define feature strategy and opportunities, source and value potential partnerships, perform due diligence on the partner/content, and lead an agreement through execution.
- Design and implement processes/policies to improve Google’s ability to partner globally, and ensure partners are fulfilling their obligations and receiving our support. Manage coordination with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Legal, Operations and Finance, etc.).
- Establish and maintain partnerships across news publishers and Google News products. Manage high-level strategic and day-to-day operational relationships to achieve business and product goals.
