As the Distribution Head, you will be responsible for day-to-day management, setting objectives, coaching and developing employees, performance appraisal, determination of reward outcomes. You will lead a team, being accountable for their performance and results. You will also ensure the regular instruction and training of your site’s employees with respect to applicable environmental and health safety and security knowledge and skills. You will contributes to the business and financial planning process.

**Your role**:

- Ensuring compliance with the statutory provisions pertaining to environmental, safety and security (including data protection) matters in your area of responsibility.
- Setting site EHS objectives in accordance with group and business sector goals and metrics
- Guarantee that materials are stored in the correct area according to their hazard, compatibility, package and transport DGs in compliance with global standards and local regulations
- Complying with the rules set forth by the QM system and Corporate Merck Standards, Codes of Conduct and procedures pertaining to site activities.
- Support all internal, client and authority audit processes, maintaining an acceptable level of results without critical findings, and develop staff knowledge to support on audit care.
- Define and or develop the strategy for the sub-region based on the global and regional strategy.
- Coordinates inbound and outbound logístical operations including foreign tarde management, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure efficient supply of goods and products.
- Lead local freight, warehousing, and customs brokerage tender. Identify and implement cost saving initiatives with reconciliation with involved areas.
- Ensures the correct management and administration of the technical functions from engineering, maintenance and investment projects associated with the DC of Life Science for compliance with local regulations, and corporate guidelines of engineering, quality, EH&S for business operation continuity.
- Elaborate annual budget according to corporate requirements and adhering to cost saving initiatives. Facilitate and foster staff development and supervise that collaborators of your area have a development plan. Identify HiPos and support their development.

**Who you are**:

- Graduate degree (or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Administrative.
- Fluent English
- Professional experience in distribution and team management Experience in chemical or life sciences sector
