- Employee relations- Ensure the company complies with local, regional, and international employment laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, consultancy contracts, and other related legal documents.
- Manage employment disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Develop and update internal policies and procedures to reflect current legal requirements and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to HR and management teams on employment law matters and compliance.
- Monitor changes in employment legislation and advise on potential impacts to the company.
- Handle cross-border employment matters, including expatriate arrangements and global mobility programs.
- Advise on classification of workers (e.g., employees vs. independent contractors), especially in the gig economy context.
- Collaborate with HR, compliance, and operations teams to support business objectives.
