- Experience in positions delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, and familiarity with databases (pivots, lookups, etc.)

Amazon is seeking a Financial Analyst to help lead and oversee critical functions within this rapidly growing organization.
This Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for business partnering, decision support, financial modeling, controllership and operations cost controls. This person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high-growth organization. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various retail, operations, transportation, and finance teams to identify best practices across the network and lead cost improvement efforts for operations. The Financial Analyst will also lead variance analysis for monthly/quarterly closing in addition of business reviews, as well as execute ad-hoc projects and analysis.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide timely and insightful reporting of financial results
- Support financial review processes including monthly financial, quarterly and annual business reviews, planning, forecasting, and ad hoc analytics
- Drive continual standardization and streamlining of planning and forecasting processes
- Develop tools to drive better understanding of Brazil performance and metric trends
- Work with data source providers to ensure that data is accurate, automated and timely available
- Work closely with the Operations & Supply Chain team and be responsible for tracking associated expenses
- Expertise in collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions
- Building financial models, presenting analyses and recommendations to senior leadership
- Developing scalable and efficient financial processes that support the operations
- Partnering across the finance organization to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance

A day in the life
- This Financial Analyst (L4) for the OPS Finance Fulfillment Centers in Brazil reporting to the FC Finance Manager. This role work with Operations Leaders across multiples sites, including Global ECCF team, but will be in charge of BSB1 controllership, Month End Close, regular forecasting and Financial Analysis. The role considers overseeing monthly close, WBR meeting deck reviews, bridges analysis, MEC reports to reconcile with multiples areas and databases. Assisting on special projects and build capabilities and reporting for the Brazil Operations results.
- Deliver results with targeted financial and operational ad-hoc analyses.
- This role interacts with several teams (Procurement, HR, Operations, LP, Capacity, S&OP, RME, Site Leader and Operations leaders), and is the assigned person for all operational escalations related to OPS Finance within the FC.
- Finance Operations, cost and/or controlling related experience (manufacturing plants, distribution centers, etc)
- SQL and VBA knowledge and experience
- Prior experience supporting business decision making through financial analysis
- The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
- Ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment
