Investment Officer, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Oikocredit Brazil is looking for an Investment Officer (40 hours) to be based in São Paulo, Brazil. The person will be part of the Brazilian team, reporting directly to the Senior Investment Officer.
The Investment Officer will work with internal and external experts as required in the best interests of our partners and Oikocredit. He/she will act as a relationship manager, translating market developments and client needs into opportunities to create impact and do business. Although specialised in a specific sector, the Investment Officer is conversant with Oikocredit’s strategy, sectors and its products & services.
**The Investment Officer responsibilities include**:
- Evaluate the structure, negotiate, conduct due diligence, write project proposals, and close new transactions, portfolio restructurings.
- Develop innovative and appropriate financial structures for straightforward transactions, identifying opportunities to increase the social impact of new and portfolio projects.
- Coordinate monitoring of our partners (social, financial, risk, compliance), through in-person meetings and digital relationship management channels.
- Coordinate with internal departments sound portfolio management including registering, invoicing, transaction monitoring, know-your-client, reporting, etc.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients collaborating closely with colleagues in Social Performance and Capacity Building to add value to our project partners, thereby achieving sustainable development impact, especially at a community level.

***Education and Experience**
***Master´s degree in the field of finance and banking, business administration, agricultural economics, or economic development.
4-6 years experience in banking, market analysis, and economic development.
In-depth knowledge of inclusive finance, agriculture finance, social impact.
Excellent written and verbal command in English and Spanish.
Strong financial and credit skills; demonstrated ability to structure a variety of financial instruments (debt and equity).
Solid understanding of and ability to evaluate company financial statements.
Good business acumen and strong interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated, committed to the highest ethical standards
***Desirable**
Experience in impact financing and more particularly in financial inclusion (Microfinance, SMEs finance, FinTechs)
Experience in foreign lending, capital markets, securitization, trade finance,.
Field experience in different regions of Brazil.
