Principal Operation Geologist

**The position**: By joining our team in Exploration & Production International you will have the opportunity to:

- Act as an operations geologist, contributing and assuring safe drilling operations, daily well reporting and well section reviews.
- Participate in the operations on-call rotation for duty and real time decisions.
- Collaborate closely with the other well project members to ensure multidisciplinary contribution in well planning projects (drilling and testing).
- Contribute to establish strategy for data acquisition and understand the requirements
- Contribute to feasibility risk assessment for the operations by identifying main risks and potential showstoppers
- Contribute to establish pore pressure and wellbore stability prognoses, blowout and depletion studies, evaluation and quality assurance of geological well data as well as reporting (pre
- and post-well).
- Contribute to ensure compliance with ANP reporting.
- Take part on occasional onshore/offshore duties, that will be relevant when following up critical operations towards wellsite (geosteering, drilling, coring).
- Actively participate in project and partner meetings.

- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Engineering. Master’s degree is considered a plus. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Eligible to hold an active CREA (Regional Counsel of Engineering and Agronomy).
- Significant experience with well planning, operations geology and wellsite geology is required.
- Experience in mudlogging and drilling operations. Basic log interpretation is an advantage.
- Experience with geosteering and the latest LWD/MWD, wireline, coring and mud-logging technologies is expected.
- Advanced knowledge in the theory as well as the use of wellbore stability and pore pressure prediction methods is required.
- Experience with Brazil pre-salt carbonates desirable.
- Advanced English (good communication and language skills, both orally and written).
- Exhibit a dedication to HSE and quality
