As our Head of Data Science, you will be responsible for managing a team of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers, and collaborating with all Azion departments to build and grow our scalable and robust data platform supporting Product, Engineering, Revenue, Finance etc. and leading our data-driven culture.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
Team Building - Hire top talent and build a Data Science team that is the envy of our industry. Train your team to ensure excellence in process, tools, and tactics. Implement and manage effective Data Science routines and communications;
- Be willing to be hands-on, when needed.
Azion is focused on exponential and sustainable growth, and you will be an important part of our strategy. We have a portfolio of Edge Computing products with key competitive advantages, as well as thousands of great success stories from leaders in the Financial, E-Commerce, SaaS/Technology, and Media markets.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- 5+ years working in a SaaS/Tech company;
- Relevant experience with team leadership that works with Business Intelligence, Analytics or Data Science;
- Mastering Data Exploration & Visualization tools (e.g Superset, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik);
- BA or BS degree;
- Verbal, written, and visual communication prowess in Portuguese and English.
**Desirable Qualifications**:
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other analytics field;
- Experience in SaaS, Cloud, or Edge Computing projects.
