This role is a member of the value stream team _**_(manufacturing process) _**_and the site Q&FS team - the job holder partners with the value stream team and also holds them accountable on Q&FS matters_, challenging the status quo to drive quality continuous improvement._ _Their main interfaces outside Q&FS are with supply (operations, reliability, and engineering), PPTS and packaging R&D. They collaborate with the operators in the value stream on root cause analysis and escalates to support departments or areas as required. _Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems, analyzes information and standard practices to make judgements and recommendations._

**What are we looking for?**
- Bachelor degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field and internship in quality and food safety in a manufacturing environment, and or combination of education and 5+ years of demonstrated success in manufacturing/ quality experience.
- Leadership capabilities in leading/influencing others
- Food safety risk assessment and management, HACCP and prerequisite controls, Good Laboratory Practices Knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008, SQF, BRC, FSSC22000)
- Knowledge of GMP, food allergens, pest control, sanitation, and food safety regulations
- Ability to work in fast paced team environment

**What will be your key responsibilities?**
- Assures implementation & compliance of global Mars standards and Coordinates Quality Processes execution in manufacturing process (CAPAs, internal audits, continuous improvement, document creation & control, pre-requisite programs)
- HACCP/Food Safety Plans lead : Manages the food safety program implementation and assures compliance with any required external standards (e.g. FSC 22000, GFSI), including responsibility as the site Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) for Food Safety Modernization Act (Food defense contributor).
- Supports the site Q&FS manager in Q&FS Key Performance Indicators reporting.
- Quality lead in value stream routine management meetings and quality reviews.
- Key interface between R&D related activities and the value stream, including communication of value stream initiatives to site R&D community.
- Monitors data and leads consumer and customer complaints reduction action plan within value stream.
- Active participant in first line Q&FS incident management, including external stakeholders contacts when needed. Leads root cause analysis investigation of incidents. Tracks and reports incidents closure. Accountable for managing an effective corrective/preventive plan, including verification of effective implementation.
- Q&FS Technical input to Value Stream on change management process (new equipment installation, etc.)
