Job summary
This position can be located in Sao Joao do Meriti - RJ, Betim - Minas Gerais or Nova Santa Rita - Rio Grande do Sul.

Amazon Transportation Operations Management (TOM) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated member. Tactical responsibilities include (but are not limited to) working with Fulfillment Center (FC) management, local carrier hubs, and other Amazon transportation and supply chain functions and help critical customer partners on how to best use Amazon transportation services.

The TOM AM will attend all scheduled production meetings to sync with Operations on key issues impacting the operation; yard capacity, trailer plans, yard accuracy, and case management. The TOM team is responsible for making sure carriers are providing the levels of service required by both FC and Amazon´s customers. It is also the escalation resource, in case of need.
Four key areas that you’ll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.
- Collaborate with Fulfillment Center Leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including the root cause analysis of problem areas
- Streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership
- Support and commit to all safety programs and WHS compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
- Support Middle mile strategy and execution
- Experience working in distribution center/fulfillment center operations utilizing lean principles.
- Up to 25% travel (domestic).
- Advanced level in English and Fluent in Portuguese.
Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field is a plus
- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple facilities.
