Are you an experienced
- **Bookkeeper** with a strong understanding of AU accounting practices? We are currently seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our client’s team. As a Bookkeeper, you will maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve data entry, managing accounts payable/receivable, processing payroll, and preparing BAS and GST reports. Proficiency in accounting software, knowledge of Australian accounting standards, and a meticulous approach to your work are essential for success in this role.

**What awaits you in this role?**
- Accurately record financial transactions and maintain general ledgers.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data in accordance with established processes.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records.
- Prepare and submit BAS, Super, and TPAR reports in compliance with Australian legislative requirements.
- Manage payroll processing, including employee onboarding, timesheet management, and leave tracking.
- Collaborate with external systems such as Deputy for seamless payroll integration.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial data to identify errors or discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve any financial queries or issues.
- Stay updated on Australian legislative changes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

**Requirements**:
**What do you need to succeed?**
- Must have very good written and verbal English.
- Must have good AU Bookkeeping experience using Xero and similar software.
- Must have AU Payroll experience, ideally with some external integrations such as Deputy.
- Must have a general understanding of AU legislative requirements - in BAS, Super, TPAR, Payroll, etc.
