**Your future role as an Import/Export Specialist**

This full-time work-from-home position offers you the flexibility to work within our client's schedule, which means you'll be working the night shift from the comfort of your own home.

Your main responsibilities will revolve around connecting with factories to obtain commercial invoices and packing lists with proper descriptions and codes, which will then be sent to our freight forwarder to create a Bill of Lading. You will also be responsible for preparing documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures.

**Here are the tasks you will tackle.**
- Connects with factories to obtain commercial invoices and packing lists with proper descriptions and codes, which are then sent to our freight forwarder to create a Bill of Lading.
- Prepares documents and forms to efficiently move goods through import and export steps and procedures.
- Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure that shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly.
- Maintains a database that tracks merchandise.
- Follows up with shippers to ensure that shipments are on time.
- Processes claims for merchandise shortages and overages.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
**What’s required to get hired?**
- Skills and Abilities_
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and policies
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Education and Experience_
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of experience in a customs warehouse or similar setting required.
- Prior experience preparing customs and shipping documents preferred.
- Physical Requirements_
- Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to access and navigate shipping and warehouse facilities
