Senior Planning Engineer

Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the in Belo Horizonte office.

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer with a strategic profile and an integrated vision of industrial projects. This professional will be responsible for structuring and leading the executive planning of engineering phases (conceptual, basic, and detailed), aligning technical deliverables with the needs of procurement, licensing, execution, and other stages of the project. A proactive, critical, and collaborative approach is expected, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and control industrial engineering schedules, focusing on strategic deliverables and cross-discipline integration.
• Prepare and validate the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and the Document List in alignment with the client, PM, and technical team.
• Create and maintain the Document List, including schedule identification, numbering, type, format, estimated volume (pages/sheets), and planned, actual, and rescheduled dates.
• Build schedules with resource allocation, aligned with client strategies and subsequent project phases.
• Prepare Progress Reports, Physical and Financial Progress Curves, and weekly and monthly Status Reports for both client and company.
• Perform recurring analyses of critical path, trends, and deviation impacts, based on consistent data.
• Manage the process of issuing invoices and interface with administrative areas.
• Actively participate in internal and external meetings, clearly and assertively representing engineering planning.
• Provide technical support to integrate engineering, procurement, licensing, and execution, promoting strategic alignment.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Production Engineering, or related fields
• Proven experience in planning industrial projects during the engineering phases
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Desired knowledge of FEL (Front-End Loading) and AWP (Advanced Work Packaging) methodologies
• Familiarity with predictive and agile project management approaches
• Strong communication skills, ability to synthesize complex information, and interact with multiple areas
• Analytical, organized profile with a systemic vision and results-oriented mindset
• Project management certifications (PMP, PMI-SP, Agile, etc.) (Differential)
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects and integrated engineering environments (Differenteial)
• Background in large industrial ventures (mining, oil & gas, energy, etc.) (Differenteial)
