Solution Seeker - with headquarters in Norway and a subsidiary in Brazil - is a scaleup building software and AI for industrial production optimization, turning data into value and strategic insight for our users.

Job description

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a frontend focus to join our team. You will take the lead in designing and developing user interfaces for our web applications, while also contributing to the broader development of our services and infrastructure. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with both our Rio and Oslo teams, working with backend developers, designers, and project managers to create interfaces that are visually appealing, scalable, and user-friendly.

As a frontend-focused Software Engineer, your work may include:

Designing and developing responsive and interactive user interfaces (React, CSS, TypeScript)

• Working with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers to turn wireframes and mockups into fully functional applications
• Optimizing web applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility
• Contributing to architectural and structural decisions in our codebase
• Exploring new frontend technologies and bringing fresh ideas to the team

Requirements
The following skills will be valuable:

• Fluency in English and Portuguese
  , both written and spoken (English will be your main working language)
• Willingness to live
  12 months in Oslo, Norway (from Feb 2026) as part of a professional exchange program and return to Rio to join the Brazilian team once your initial rotation is over.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong skills in HTML, React, and CSS
• Proficiency in TypeScript (or strong JavaScript skills)
• Experience with modern frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, , etc.)
• Understanding of Linux and familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
• Experience with Python
• Familiarity with version control, e.g. Git
• Strong communication
• Being Brazilian or possessing a valid work permit to work in Brazil (once your rotation in Oslo is over)

Bonus skills

Our tech stack is large and we do not expect you to know all of it, but any familiarity would be greatly appreciated skills

• Responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• State management libraries (Redux, etc.)
• Web performance optimization
• Charting libraries such as Highcharts or Plotly
• Python and Plotly Dash
• Build tools (Vite, Webpack)
• GraphQL, Material UI, JSS
