MLT Lab Manager

Job Overview:

We are hiring a Lab Manager to lead Brazil's Mechanical Lab Testing (MLT) operations. You'll manage testing schedules, equipment, safety, and a small team of engineers, technicians, and machinists. This role involves aligning with global labs, maintaining ISO compliance, and enabling product validation for current and future tracker platforms. Experience with lab startups or establishing new infrastructure is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise lab operations and team workflows.
  • Oversee test execution, calibration schedules, and equipment upkeep.
  • Lead budgeting and lab infrastructure growth.
  • Represent Brazil lab in global alignment efforts.
  • Drive safety, compliance, and procedural efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in mechanical or quality engineering.
  • 2+ years in lab or people management.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of fatigue, static, and structural test equipment.
  • Experience with calibration, safety, and ISO practices.

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in Portuguese
  • English Advanced.

Soft Skills:

  • Operational leadership and mentoring ability.
  • Strategic thinking and attention to process excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing cross-site test labs and quality management system.
