Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for an O&M Manager in Brazil to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future.To manage the Operations and Maintenance activities of a portfolio of PV Solar Plants in Brazil. To ensure the health and safety of all people and equipment under his/her control, whilst always ensuring maximum possible energy production.Main ResponsabilitiesManage the Operations and Maintenance of all Solar PV Plants;Manage and take responsibility for Plant Safety in all aspects including legal appointments as required by law at all Plants;Help build a sound Safety and Quality Culture within O&M;Manage all O&M staff;Develop a good working environment and build a motivated O&M team;Manage the O&M HR function and support the plant managers/supervisors with HR functions;Manage training and development needs of Plant personnel;Accept and implement the relevant legal appointments in terms of the OHS Act or equivalent regulations and legislation;Visit and audit the functioning of all Solar PV plants;Implement the integrated resourcing strategy for all Plants;Analysis and reduction of equipment downtime across all Plants;Drive the effective management of warranty & insurance claims;Drive and ensure the resolution of nonconformance and issues;Manage the effective handover of new Plants;Manage the implementation of the O&M functions at new Plants;Ensure sound O&M administration and document management;Communicate effectively with other departments, external contractors and management;Manage all related stakeholders – internal and external;Manage O&M quality programs and drive continuous improvement across all Plants;Manage the standardised O&M processes & procedures;Manage a standardised HSSEQ system across all Solar PV Plants;Manage the HV/MV operating regulations across all Plants;Manage a Plant performance monitoring program (including, downtime, plant events, equipment failure analysis, Plant Availability, PR, etc.);Prepare the required reports to top management;Manage effective communication of Plant significant events to top management;Attend and support BOD meetings where required.Qualifications and CompetenciesDiploma in electrical or mechanical engineering;Knowledge of safety legislation and best practices GCC;Degree in renewable energy engineering;Registered with ECSA or equivalent institutionExperience within the Renewable Energy environment;Work experience in the power generation or distribution environment;10 years' appropriate experience in a relevant environment;Competency in pertinent plant electrical equipment such as Transformers, Inverters, Switchgear, Sub-station equipment, SCADA and network communication;Experience with HV Operating Regulations and Permit to Work systems;Experience with CMMS/ERP and Control & Monitoring Centres;Language: fluent both written and spoken in English;Must be available to travel internationally as and when required;Must be able to work overtime according to operational needs, also evenings and nights if required;Valid drivers' license.Personal characteristicsIt is part of every employee's terms of reference to contribute to Scatec's vision: Improving our Future and adhere to our company values which are:Predictable: demonstrate clear communication and listening skills, shares information in an open and honest wayDriving results: demonstrate determination, pro-activeness, can prioritise and work independentlyChangemaker: demonstrate entrepreneurship, can challenge, fast learner, take initiates and adjustWorking together: demonstrate teamwork, shares responsibilities, can compromise, has a can-do attitudeWe offerScatec is an exciting, innovative, and ambitious company operating in a growing industry.
