Since 2019, OKTO has been improving payment interactions for online and retail gaming and introducing frictionless payments with its local knowledge, sector expertise and international capabilities.

The expanding business now employs over 200 payment experts, gaming insiders and software engineers, serving some of the most exciting international markets including, Brazil, Romania, Italy, Greece, Germany, the UK and Spain.

Summary

The Director Brazil will be responsible for leading and expanding the company's presence in the Brazilian payments and iGaming market. This executive role entails developing strategic partnerships, driving sustainable business growth, and ensuring achievement of regional commercial targets. Acting as the senior representative of the company in Brazil, the Director will oversee key client relationships, influence market positioning, and ensure alignment between local operations and global strategy. The position requires close collaboration with global leadership, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Sales teams to deliver innovative, market-relevant, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Client Partnerships

  • Act as the senior strategic partner to major operators and stakeholders, influencing client strategies and positioning the company as a market leader.
  • Build and sustain C-level relationships to maximize long-term partnerships and client satisfaction.
  • Lead executive business reviews to assess performance, identify risks, and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Business Development & Growth
  • Define and execute the regional commercial strategy for Brazil in alignment with global objectives.
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure new business opportunities with key operators and strategic partners.
    Drive revenue expansion through innovation, upselling, cross-selling, and long-term value creation.

Operational Excellence & Internal Alignment

  • Ensure service delivery excellence across all contracted solutions, maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, compliance, and performance.
  • Lead coordination between local teams and global functions (Product, Operations, Finance, Compliance) to address client and regulatory needs.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure sustainable growth and retention.

Market Intelligence & Representation

  • Act as the company's primary spokesperson in Brazil, representing the brand at high-level industry events, forums, and regulatory discussions.
  • Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to global leadership on trends, competition, and regulatory developments.
  • Anticipate and mitigate market risks, ensuring business resilience and compliance.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.
  • Postgraduate/MBA in Business, Strategy, or Finance strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in senior leadership roles in Payments, Fintech, or iGaming.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing growth strategies in complex, highly regulated markets.
  • Experience building and managing high-performance teams, with strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating large-scale partnerships and long-term client contracts.

Languages:

  • Fluent English (mandatory).

  • Fluent Portuguese (mandatory).

  • Spanish (desirable).

Important Information

  • Full-time position under a CLT (Brazilian employment law) contract
  • Hybrid work model, based in São Paulo/SP – Brazil
